

Q. What does a marquee cost to hire?
A. Marquees range in price from $88 for a 2.4m x 2.4m marquee into tens of thousands for huge structures. A typical marquee in a backyard will cost between $400 and $800.
Q. Can I set the marquee up myself?
A. Harts stock a range of instant marquees for self installation ranging from the 2.4m x2.4m to 3m x 6m. For all marquees bigger than these sizes, the experienced Harts staff will complete the installation for you.
Q. Can I build my own stage?
A. Yes you can. Harts can deliver all the equipment necessary and as with all Harts products you will be provided with instructions on how to safely use the equipment.
Q. How long do I have the equipment for?
A. Harts hires out equipment as a charge for a function. This means that if you are using the equipment for a function on Saturday night you will probably have the equipment from Friday to Monday. Quite often, marquees will be set up on Thursday or Friday, and then dismantled on Monday or Tuesday. This ensures you have plenty of time to decorate and then to relax after the event. We are able to cater for any requirements if you have a particular time schedule.
Q. What happens if something gets damaged?
A. Harts offers all of our clients the option of purchasing a damage waiver which covers most damage that could occur to equipment. Please click here and read point eight (8) in the terms and conditions of hire. We strongly recommend the damage waiver to ensure a hassle free event.
Q. Do marquees need to be pegged?
A. All of Harts marquees are fully framed and free standing. This means that we are able to place them on any surface and hold them down with weights. We prefer to peg where possible. Our experienced consultants can advise on the best means of securing the marquee.
Q. What are Harts payment terms?
A. Harts requires a booking deposit to secure you booking which equals 50% of the hire price. The balance is payable by cash or credit card on the day of delivery.
Q. What happens with a site inspection?
A. An experienced Harts consultant will come to you, measure the site and discuss your needs (and dreams). We will then sit down with you to map out the site and prepare a quote on the spot. Harts unique PDA based technology allows us to provide on the spot quotations via email, fax and print (using our mobile printers).
Q. When do I need to book equipment?
A. We strongly suggest you place your order as early as possible. A lot of our equipment will book out months in advance, so booking as soon as possible will ensure you get exactly what you need. Harts can advise over the phone a more accurate time frame of when to book.
Q. Does Harts Party Hire have insurance in case of an accident?
Yes Harts Party Hire carries a Public Liability Insurance policy for $10,000,000 for any one incident and will happily provide a copy of certificate to show it is current prior to undertaking any event. We also have full workcover insurance for all staff.
Q. Will I the customer be held liable for any claims?
Every time you invite guests into your home you accept a certain level of liability. When hosting a party and providing alcohol this level of risk is often increased.
